Dive Tatapouri
Dive Tatapouri takes you where the wild things are. Located in stunning Tatapouri Bay just a 15-minute drive from Gisborne, this is New Zealand’s only wild stingray encounter. Venture out to an interactive reef ecology tour with wild stingrays, eagle rays and other reef dwellers abound. Eastwoodhill Arboretum is the National Arboretum of New Zealand and encompasses over 131 hectares planted in exotic and native trees, shrubs and climber plantings. A wonderful day out to admire the renowned natural beauty that is the largest and most comprehensive collection of Northern Hemisphere trees south of the equator.

Gisborne Rail Bike Adventure
A totally unique tandem rail bike cycle on 90 spectacular kilometres of coastal railway between Gisborne and Wairoa is a must-do in Gisborne. There’s nothing quite like watching the scenery unfold before your eyes as you pedal your way across stunning native forest, through enchanting tunnels and viaducts to the beautiful Mahia peninsula. A smooth cycle that’s almost impossible to fall off of, you can railbike to your heart's content and discover the hidden gems of the East Coast along the way.

Rere Rockslide
This secluded attraction has been described as 'the best free fun you can have in NZ'. Located via a scenic 30-minute drive inland from Gisborne, Rere Rock Slide is a spectacular 60m natural rock face where you can slide down a cascading waterfall. Be sure to pack your lunch, camera and a tyre tube or bodyboard. It’s hard to believe this unique attraction with it’s natural beauty and adrenaline rush has no admission fee! A fantastic commercial-free day out, full of fun for kids young and old!

Sunshine Brewing
New Zealand’s oldest independent brewery is a state-of-the-art, steam powered brewhouse. The entire brewing process can be viewed from the Taproom that offers pizzas and a light snack menu, beer tasting boards, takeaway beer and growler filling. You may have to return several times to indulge in the 20+ taps of the freshest beer you’ll find on the East Coast.

Gisborne's best produce & more are available from local farmers, retailers & artisans deeply connected with what they are offering. This is a must-attend event with a distinct, relaxed Gizzy vibe every Saturday, 9:30am - 12:30pm at the Old Army Hall carpark, corner of Stout Street & Fitzherbert Streets.
